Rules 2026-07-16Reviewed 2026-08-11

Objective

Identify both visible parts of an abstract card cost.

Before

One badge contains two questions

The abstract card shows an Energy number and two domain Power symbols.

  • Energy: 4
  • Power: two shown domain symbols
  • Payment: not attempted
The complete printed cost is visible but not yet interpreted.
Action

Read the Energy number

The player records the numbered Energy requirement without hiding the Power symbols.

  • Energy identified: 4
  • Power: still needs review
The generic amount is identified as one part of the cost.
Resolution

Read the domain requirements

The player names the two displayed Power symbols and compares them with the Rune Deck plan.

  • Energy identified: 4
  • Power identified: two domain requirements
  • Rune plan: review next
Both cost dimensions are now visible in the decision.
Why

One number is not the whole cost

Energy helps compare the amount while Power shows which domain requirements must also be considered.

  • Card evaluation: complete cost reviewed
The player avoids comparing cards by Energy alone.
